A link between young people, their whanau and the services available to them An opportunity for Young People and their whanau to gather information Resources and programmes relevant to the needs of Young People and their whanau living in the Gore and Districts Community

Programmes

We run a range of different programmes such as G.I.R.L.S. SUS, FRIENDS for Life, Stoned and Smashed, Teenage Skills and Seasons for Growth

Community Involvement

We have a huge amount of community involvement and support helping us to support the youth of Gore and its surrounding Districts

Referrals

Anyone can fill out our referral form. Most schools will have a Gore and Districts Community Youth Worker Trust referral form You can pick up and drop of referral forms to 1 Charlton Lane, Gore. Or you can email Ali – youthworker@cnt.org.nz

1-1 Services

The youth worker will work one on one with children and young people aged five to 18 years old to help to build skills such as; self confidence, social skills and self esteem and will provide a service in which children and young people can work on skills and tools to create better outcomes in their own lives.

About Us

The Gore and Districts Community Youth Worker Trust is a not for profit trust that provides free supportive services to young people aged five to 18 in the Gore and surrounding Districts.

Our Vision

All children and young people have a right to good health, wellbeing, education, the prospect of good employment, and participation in community. Supporting Young People and their Whanau to Achieve Positive Outcomes Some children and young people experience barriers that may prevent their access to these rights. The Gore and Districts Community Youth Worker Trust offers a strength based, client focused approach to removing these barriers. The Trust advocates for children and young people to gain access to resources and services to improve their life outcomes.

History: The Gore and Districts Community Youth Worker Trust was established on the 13th of October 1995 by founding Board members Nicholas Harrison, Colin McPherson, Pamela Mackenzie, and Samuel Graham
